Saturday, January 18

  • Albany
    Breakfast ride. 9 AM, no mileage given. Meet at Cycle World bicycle shop in the Village Green Shopping Center, 2401-B Dawson Road. For more information call Cycle World at (229)431-0908.
  • Fayetteville
    Fayette Beginners & Intermediate Ride. 15 and 30 miles, 9 AM. Easier ride is the 15 miler and is more structured to new riders. For more advanced cyclists there is a 30-mile option. The rides start at Harps Crossing Baptist Church in Fayetteville (intersection of Hwy. 92 & Antioch Rd.). From Atlanta: Take I-75 South to Exit 237A, GA Hwy. 85 South. From the South take I-75 North, Exit 237, left over I-75 until you reach GA 85. Go South on GA 85 till intersection of Hwy. 92. Turn left and go about 3 mi. to Antioch Rd.   • Springfield

  • Watkinsville
    Good Hope-Fairplay Loop. 27 and 45 miles, 1 PM. Meet behind the Watkinsville Courthouse promptly at 1 PM and proceed out to High Shoals. The 27 mile loop will go to Bostwick while the rest will ride to Good Hope and Fairplay for around 45 miles. For more information contact Mark Davis (706)208-0152.

Saturday, January 25

  • Albany

  • Pooler
    Savannah Wildlife Refuge Ride. 30 miles, 10 AM. Meet at Home Depot in Pooler at Exit 104 off I-95. For more information contact  Bob & Sharon Ventura (912)728-5989.
  • Watkinsville
    Antioch Church Loop. 16, 27, and 29 somewhat hilly miles, 1:30 PM. Ride winds around the scenic country south of Watkinsville on rolling, somewhat hilly terrain. The 16 miler is pretty flat. Long option is 39 miles and has more hills. The medium option is 27 miles and has fewer hills.  Meet at the Watkinsville Courthouse parking lot, where Simonton Bridge Road intersects Main St. For more information contact Sandra Wyld at (706)543-9103.

Sunday, January 26

  • Comer
    13 Forks 54. 35 to 53 miles, 12 PM. Ride leaves promptly at noon. Beautiful rural countryside northeast of Athens with little traffic and rolling hills (no real steep hills). Three options. The long ride is approximately 53 miles. The short ride is approximately 35 miles. It is also possible to do something between 35 and 53. Will ride as a group until the cutoff for the 35 mile ride. The pace will then pick up for those going on the 53 mile ride. We will make what has become a traditional stop at the 13 forks granite marker at approximately mile 30 in order to consume some fig bars etc. Please download your own maps [maps]. From Athens: take highway 72 to Comer. In Comer, turn left on Main Street and park near the big church with the green roof on the right a block or so from the turn.   • Peachtree City
    10 to 15 miles, 9:30 AM. Helmets required. Riders meet at Bicycles Unlimited for a morning ride on the cart paths of Peachtree City. Form Atlanta: Take I-85 south to GA 74 (exit 61) turn left. Go approximate 11 miles to Peachtree Pkwy. and turn left. Follow the winding road to just before the first stop light (Hwy. 54) there is a strip mall on your left (Peachtree Crossing) and turn left into the parking lot. Shop is located behind Chick-Fil-A in the Peachtree Crossing Shopping Center.

  • Pembroke
    Tour de Pembroke. 30 miles, 9 AM. Meet in parking lot at traffic light on US 280. For more information contact Roger Parian (912)352-4145 (home).

Saturday, March 1

  • St Marys
    10, 30, 62 miles, 8 AM. Team Camden's first event of 2003. Registration will be from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM. Ride begins 8 AM, rain or shine. After the ride, we welcome you to go downtown and enjoy the Mardi Gras Festival. Parade starts at 11 AM. 10 mile ride be pace lead through town by a few of our Team Members. This will allow for people to see a parade of colors and bikes. The 30 miler will have up to 3 rest stops and SAG supported. The route will bring you into Kingsland and back. The 62 mile route will have up to 5 rest stops and SAG support. The route will take you thru and around Camden County.   • Atlanta
    New Wing Ding. 9, 12, ?? 10:30 AM. Scenic neighborhood ride rolling along residential streets. 9 and 12 mile options. Meet in the rear parking lot of the DeKalb Instructional Center, 2652 Lawrenceville Hwy (1/2 mile inside I-285). Hot Wings and drinks at the Country Cafe afterward.

    West Georgia Escape sponsored by The Southern Bicycle League  and is held every first and third Sunday. Offers a variety of routes in Carroll County.
