  • Mandeville
    Tammany Trace 100 [registration]. 25, 50, 75, and 100 miles 7:30-9 AM (staggered start). Maps, volunteers, rest stops, and after ride party.  Pre-registration must be received by Saturday, September 13 for T-shirt. Organized by Crescent City Cyclists along the Tammany Trace rail-trail in St. Tammany Parish. A portion of the registration fees will again be donated to the Tammany Trace Foundation. 25 miler takes place entirely on the Tammany Trace. All routes head to Lacombe and longer routes wind through Abita Springs and the scenic hilly sections of St. Tammany Parish (County). Registration at the Tammany Trace Caboose Trailhead begins at 7:15 To get to the start take I-12 Exit 65, go 1/4 mile North on LA 59, turn left on Koop Drive.

October 4-5

  • Hammond-McComb
    MS Tour For Cure. 150 miles flat to hilly miles. Louisiana's premier ride. Annually attracts over 1,000 cyclists from all over the USA for a 2-day, 2-state bike ride. Unlike other MS 150s, this is a round-robin tour with cyclists overnighting in McComb, MS at Percy Quin State Park. More details to follow. Sunday, October 12

  • Coteau
    Cajun Challenge Fall Century [info] [registration]. 25, 50, 62.5, and 100 flat miles 7:30-8:30 (staggered start). Post-ride meal, T-shirt, sagged and sag stops, route maps, lagniappe. All routes are marked and are closed by 5 PM. The Cajun Cyclists have prepared some of the best routes in the area. Roads are expected to be flat and smooth; a sometime rarity in south Louisiana. Meet at Francis Romero Memorial Park at 7 AM registration.  To assure your T-Shirt, register by September 28. To get to start:: From I-10, take Exit 103 to Hwy 167 South (Hwy 167 South becomes Hwy 90 East). Continue on Hwy 90 East to Hwy 88 (Coteau) (approximately 16 miles from I-10). Turn left and go 8/10ths of a mile. Turn Right into Francis Romero Memorial Park.

Tuesdays

  • Lake Charles - Jolly Roger Cycling
    Club Training Ride
    6PM at the Home Depot for upper recreational to advanced riders. 30 to 50 miles flat terrain with good roads, and not too much traffic. It is a fast ride, but we don't leave anyone behind to get eaten by the gators. Each ride you do you will get better, and if you are already real good, come on and share some pain with us.

Tuesdays & Thursdays

  • Lafayette - Cajun Cyclists
    Northpark Training Ride
    6PM. From Northpark on Point Des Mouton Rd we head West to Scott down Point Des Mouton. From there, we turn North toward Grand Coteau. After crossing I-49, we head South along Wilderness Trail Road before we turn back West to make our way back.
    Distance: 25-40 mi.
    Pace: 18-20 MPH Average

  • Shreveport
    Shreveport Bicycle Club hosts year 'round Saturday morning rides, beginning at 7:30 AM in the LSU-S parking lot in front of the tennis courts.

Wednesdays

  • Lafayette - Cajun Cyclists
    Acadiana Park Mountain Bike Trail
    6PM. 3-10 miles variable pace. Acadiana Park on Alexandria St. This is a great place for beginner mountain bikers to try out their off road legs. It is also a good place for bored roadies to get in shape in the off season. There's about 3 miles of interconnecting trails, with one more to come in later months. The best way to maintain the trail is through constant use. There are some technical sections...do not be afraid to walk your bike.
